What inspired you to take the path of entrepreneurship? Everybody has a story, what is your story?
I was not inspired to become an entrepreneur. I was a Real Estate Agent working with a Broker and she fired me. I had already gotten my Broker License and just continued working on my own. I got new clients and got an answering service while working on my friend’s Diningroom table. The apartment I had just bought was under construction and my other apartment was rented out. Going through a divorce and left my current boyfriend for a year. Everything worked and just never looked back. Then 16 years later, I did not want to do real estate anymore. After training and getting my certification at NYU, I became a Personal Life Coach. I work for myself and get paid doing what I love and being of service.
What advice will you give your younger self?
You create your world with the words you use. Use happy words, and be integrity with your promises to yourself and others.
Relationship building – Let’s talk about this! How important is relationship building for you and how did it help your business?
Relationship building is everything in all areas of my life. My neighbors, my community, my clients, strangers, and everyone is important to me and can evolve into a relationship from a simple hello.
Do you take risks? What risk did you take? Was it a good or bad risk? What would you do differently?
Yes, I take risks and have taken risks. Coming to America with 60 pounds, and getting married to my ex-husband for 12 years after knowing him for 4 months. Leaving my job to start a business, I knew nothing about. Life for me is about taking risks, taking risks has helped build my confidence and develop my self-esteem. Being able to take risks and fail has made me confident. I don’t have conversations about good or bad risks. A bad risk can be a mistake. however, I believe we can learn from what is considered the bad risks because we can reroute and start again.
What do you do for personal growth & development?
I have a few coaches, I read a lot of books. I love taking classes and I love learning. Also, I meditate 2X per day and I love taking on new challenges.
How do you stay motivated?
Loving what I do and doing what I love.
How do you self-care?
I love to do what I desire, trust myself, and honor my word. My yes is my yes and my no is my no. I am true to myself and others and a great problem solver. I share love to share and I love painting. Finally, I live life My Way.
