My Interview with Michelle Kutcherman X Founder of Healed & Healthy

Wow, I can’t believe I am sharing my last blog of the year with you. 2022 flew by so fast and I am beyond excited to share my last interview of this year with you. It has been a fun year introducing so many women entrepreneurs in my circle to you. The journey of entrepreneurship is inspiring and challenging at the same time, this blog has shone a light on some amazing women in business and how they are pressing through amidst all odds. Today’s blog is not an exception to this, I am shining a light on this amazing female founder who could have easily given up after she suffered a great loss, but turned her pain into her passion. Her story is beyond inspiring and I am so proud of her faith and her perseverance. It is with great pleasure I bring to you Michelle Kutcherman founder of Healed & Healthy.

What inspired you to take the path of entrepreneurship? Everybody has a story, what is your story?

My story started in 2016. I got extremely sick and stayed in the hospital for 2 1/2 months and had numerous surgeries.  Once I got out of the hospital and started recovering I started researching natural ingredients such as different herbs, and plants. I eventually started making natural skin products to help heal my skin and grow the hair back that had fallen out due to my illness. I started sharing my journey on social media and eventually, I started selling my skin and hair products.

What Advice Would You Give Your Younger Self?

The advice that I would give to my younger self is to stop caring what people think so much and don’t be afraid to fail. I’ve learned just so much from my failures as my success.

Do you take risks? What risk did you take? Was it a good or bad risk?  What would you do differently?

I’m not a natural risk taker, I really do try to plan out my steps and then execute them. But I believe if you want to succeed in business, some risks are necessary. Progress always involves risks. You can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first. You don’t know how the future will play out or if your business will be successful. But you can plan and take calculated risks.

So sorry about your loss, can you please share how you are handling this, especially in your business?

My oldest son was murdered in June. As you can imagine this has been the most painful thing I have ever had to go through. I had to take off work to really grieve. There was a time when I was not sure If I would continue running my business. I have since decided to relaunch my business in honor of his memory.

What advice would you give to anyone going through grief in their life and business?

The advice that I would give someone going through grief in their life and business is to take time to grieve and take as much time as you need to grieve. You can’t rush grieving you must go through it. It’s hard, and it’s painful but you must go through it in order to begin the healing process.

You recently shared that you are relaunching your brand, what is the story behind this and how can we support it?

I am relaunching my business in honor of my late son. I know that he would not want me to give up on Healed and Healthy so I’m relaunching in December. He was a great supporter and he always told someone about Healed and Healthy. You can follow me on my IG page Healed and Healthy

How do you self-care?

I self-care by taking take of my mental and physical well-being first. In the past, I would do for others and I was left feeling empty. I since learned that you can’t pour from an empty cup. So I always try to pour into myself and then I have enough to share with my husband, children, grandchildren, etc. I really enjoy going for walks in nature, reading, listening to music, and doing something creative.

What advice would you give to anyone who is about to embark on the entrepreneurship journey?

The advice I would give to anyone who is embarking on the entrepreneurship journey is to seek out a mentor. They can help you navigate this entrepreneurship journey. They know the way because they have traveled the path already

What is one of your greatest accomplishments in business? How did you get there?

My greatest accomplishment in business was taking the ideas that God gave me, researching ingredients, and making products that help heal women’s skin and hair. I am proud of the fact that despite major setbacks, trials and tribulations I didn’t give up and I will continue to serve women from all works of life.
